Thanks to you, construction has begun!

Smiles like this are why your generosity matters!

As November came to a close, the children at Hope Infant School wrapped up their academic year with joy and a sense of accomplishment. Classes officially ended on November 28, and soon most students headed home for a well-earned holiday break. In the spirit of generosity that always seems to blossom this time of year, several families even opened their doors to the children who live on campus, welcoming them into their homes for the season.

And then—once the grounds had quieted and the last goodbyes were waved—the real bustle began.

On December 1, construction crews arrived and got straight to work. In just two days, an aging classroom building and dormitory were safely demolished and cleared away. Almost immediately, shovels hit the ground. With a blend of determined hands and heavy equipment, the crews began carving out the foundation for something new.

This week’s goal is both ambitious and exciting: to pour the foundation and begin framing the first level of what will become a brand-new, three-story building.

And while construction crews have been busy outside, the children have had their own burst of excitement–new Hot Wheels cars! You’d think a tiny car couldn’t make much noise, but the joyful squeals and laughter say otherwise. What’s been even more heartwarming is their eagerness to share, passing cars back and forth, inviting friends to take turns, and making sure everyone gets a chance to join in the fun. Their generosity is as bright as their excitement, a reminder that even small gifts can spark big joy.

In this season of Advent, a time of waiting, hope, and new beginnings, it feels especially fitting to see the groundwork being laid for a future that will shape and shelter so many young lives. We are deeply grateful for the many people who have generously shared their resources, money, and prayers to make this moment possible. Thank you for helping make room for what’s coming next.
